I modeled this particular seahorse after potbellied seahorses who have distinct spotted coloring. Painted in a creamy tan then washed in white, the seahorse was then given his spots then lightly sanded. You will notice a lot of time was spent on the body details.
Seahorses are truly unique. Unlike most other fish, they are monogamous and mate for life. Also, it is the male seahorse, rather than the female, that becomes pregnant and gives birth to their offspring.
